Job alert: MS Assistantship to study pollinators and wind farms (University of Wyoming, USA)
28.01.2013

The Department of Zoology and Physiology at the University of Wyoming has a position available for an M.S. student investigating pollinators and other insects in sagebrush ecosystems of southern Wyoming. The study will inform the Wyoming BLM about native pollinators, how wind farms may alter pollinator assemblages, and provide information on future wind turbine placement. To understand how changes in pollinator abundance may affect the food web, the student will also estimate bird and bat diversity, and measure effects of pollinator removal on seed/fruit set for target plants. The student will begin field research in May 2013 and full funding, including a stipend, full tuition waiver, and health insurance, is available for 2.5 years.

Last Date to Apply: 04/15/2013.
